About Us

The Lewis County Nursing Home was built and opened Nov 28, in 1978 a 30 bed addition was done in July 1984 and another 30 bed addition on Dec 1989. It was built with a vision of creating a facility that treats every patient with dignity and first-rate care. The nurses and office staff at Lewis County Nursing Home are highly-trained and exceptionally friendly. We understand that for many, visiting a nursing home can be a stressful experience. Our comfortable surroundings and compassionate medical professionals will ease your fears.


STAFF:

 

Shelia Pennington - Administrator

I grew up and attended schools in Lewis County. I'm an R.N. worked in a hospital setting for 10 yrs. The rest of my career has been in older adult care. I have 2 boys and a girl, 4 grandsons and a granddaughter. I spend alot of time at my grandchildren's sporting and school events. I enjoy reading, scrap booking, going to flea markets and antique shops. My husband Philip and I are active in our church. We are involved with prison ministry. Resident encounter Christ and weekly bible study through prison fellowship.

Debbie Megee - Director of Nursing

I have been in the Long Term Care field since 1980. Received my Associate Degree in 2002 for RN. I am married and have 2 daughters and my first grandchild is due in October. My oldest daughter will graduate in May 2009 from the RN program. My youngest will graduate this year from High School. I love to work in my yard, planting flowers. I like to travel short trips on weekends. I love spending time with my family on the weekends and going to the sprint car races to watch my brother and nephew race.

Debbie Barnard - Social Services

I have been in the health care field for 33 yrs. I have always enjoyed working with my residents and their families to make life a little more pleasurable.I've been married to Brian for 11 years and enjoy spending time with my family and friends. I have twin sons and a daughter, 3 grandsons and 3 granddaughters. I love to crochet, cook and work in my yard.

Mark Huebotter - Medicare Manager

You could say that I have grown up in the Long Term Care Industry. I started working in nursing homes when I was 16 years old, and have enjoyed all the many people I have taken care and worked with over the past 27 years.

 

 

 

 

Carla Corbin - Activity Director

I've worked at Lewis County Nursing Home for 15 years I have 2 children and 3 grandchildren. I've been married for 20 years. I enjoy reading, going to blues music, and playing miniature golf.
