Everything about the Lewis County Nursing Home was designed with the comfort, safety and well-being of our residents in mind. It's a special place for rehabilitation, recuperation and long-term care. Our approach to providing care is designed to meet the total needs of our residents' medical, social, and emotional well being. Our services include:
Physical therapy is offered in an expertly designed 850 sq. ft. room. Equipment includes whirlpools, hydrocullator, parallel bars, range of motion wheels, pulleys, lifts and an exercise bike. Wax therapy and ultra sound are also available. A licensed R.P.T. (Registered Physical Therapist) or a certified physical therapy designee is available five days a week to assist residents. Rehabilitative services are provided daily; and we encourage the process of restoring an individual to his or her maximum level of independence following an accident, injury or illness.
Nursing Care
Lewis County Nursing Home offers nursing care twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. We are staffed with licensed nurses around the clock who are under the supervision of a registered nurse.
Medicare
All of our118 beds are Medicare certified, providing skilled care to ease the transition from hospital to nursing home and frequently back into the nursing home setting.
Our Social Services Director is available to each resident, to assist them in the transition from home to our facility. Social services assists with admissions, finances, documenting personal belongings, and helping families and residents make appointments and arrange for transportation. The residents psychosocial well-being is of the greatest importance and the social services personnel are there to assist residents and their families.

Activities
Activities play an essential pat in the overall well-being of our residents. We offer activities that meet everyone's needs. not only structured , but spontaneous activities as well as one -to -one interaction.
Beauty Shop 
Our beauty shop is open two days a week, and is staffed by a licensed beautician. Families may also use the beauty shop, with no extra charge.
Volunteers and Auxiliary
There are many community people who volunteer their time and services for our residents. We also have an auxiliary that meets on a monthly basis and plans many activities for the residents.
